I like the ideas for the Diorama Campaign # 2 : two soldiers and one civilian, scale 1/35, size 5x7 inches and the dio must involve a water feature
For a future campaign, I'd like to suggest a dio of which at least 50 percent of the dio surface is covered with water. That can be a beach setting or the Mekong river, even a detail of a ship on the ocean... Anything that forces us to come up with a convincing technique to show large water surfaces.
After we succeed in doing that, we can make it even just a tad more difficult : the dio must show a surface of frozen water (a.k.a. ice). I can imagine a German soldier hiding in the reeds near a frozen pond, or Napoleon's soldiers crossing a frozen River in Russia. A submarine crew walking on the Pole ice where their sub just surfaced, etc...
The ribbons for these campaigns could be a shade of blue, maybe showing a drop of water or an icicle ?
Maybe something like this :

Maybe A resistance dio would be an idea for a campaign
For example I saw once a dio where a French farmer moved all his sheeps on the road just to tease the germans ( two german PZKFW2 were standing between the sheeps)
So maybe a contest that`s shows people of the Maquise or SOE doing their jobs. Putting bombs to rail roads and that kind of stuff. or ambushing germans
The ribbons could have a very dark color. because of the secret where those resistance guys had to work with.

Jan,
Good ideas you posted here !! I'm with you all the way.
I'm very fond of the idea to insert the special feature (Snow / Water etc.) in the dio. It kind of makes the "experts" visible on a particular subject. This way we know who the "Waters, Ice etc. specialist" are.

I'd like to see a tree required. I would have never thought I could pull off convincing snow, but the first contest forced me to try. Let's plant some trees!
