Just used Future for the first time last night- big production setting up the bathroom in my little apartment to use as a spray area.
The posts here and on ML have been great and informative on the uses of Future, but my question is on specific technique.
My experience-
I used an Aztek 470 airbrush (set about 25psi) and sprayed Future straight, I did not thin it. I used the tan nozzle -general purpose nozzle.
4 of the 5 models that I sprayed were painted months ago- the paint was cured by now..
I sprayed from a distance of about 8 inches, in a back and forth motion. I sprayed 2 coats on each model, allowing 30 to 45 minutes between coats.
The results- they are shiny ( ready for a wash) but the finish is not 'glass smooth', more toward an orange peel finish than a smooth finish. Is this OK for washing? will a final Dullcote 'smooth out' the orange peel?
Questions on technique-
1) Distant from model? how far away should you spray?
2) How many coats?
3) Thickness of each coat?
4) How long should you allow each coat to dry before the next coat?
5) How long should the Future cure before I do a wash?
And probably the most important question-
6) What should the appearance be after each coat? -sort of an orange peel, or glass smooth?
-what should the model look like after each coat,
and is the desired result a 'glass smooth' finish? - do you keep adding coats until you get a
'glass smooth' finish?
Thanks for any advice!

I had that problem too. Try thinning Future with alcohol (just a little)and put on as many coats until you're satisfied. I feel future is pretty thick and can puddle up rather fast. I blast it on too, high pressure from about 8" away. Hope that helps
