Silly question, but does anyone know the color for T55 Ammunition or have any color pictures of them?
Thanks in advance.

Jared, I don't have the pictures, but I can describe the colors of each type of round. I'll list the colors from TOP to BOTTOM.
1. Hollow Charge Shell (HEAT)
Dk Green - Copper(this is band that is on the forward section of the nose. folowed by 2 more thin bands of Copper towards the rear of the nose portion. Jeez- this sounds more complicated than it is!!!)
finally the shell casing is Brass
2. Armor Piercing Tracer
Yellow - (top 1/3 of tip) dark green - basically ALL the T55 Ammo has a dk green nose withthe secondary colors over it- next there's 3 bands of Copper, then Brass for the shell casing.
3. HE Shell
Again, ALL Dk green "head" with Copper "tip" and large Copper band towards the shell casing. Then Brass for the shell casing.
4. Armor Piercing Shell
Again All Dk green "head" with a Copper band towards the shell casing, then Brass for the casing itself.
Its bit confusing; I wish I had some pix for you. There will be some variation in colors as several countries produce their own ammo for the 100mm gun.

Sweet!
That does help. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to paint them up now.

Don't laugh here, but I'm tinkering on the old, ugly Skif, just building it straight out of the box, with some putty thrown in here and there to fix the extremely screwed up bits. Part of the kit is a partial interior, which also has a few rounds, which will be able to be seen from the open hatches.

Why would I laugh at that - You must be a glutton for punishment with that kit! I did manage to see one put together a few years back that looked incredible! I must tip my #11 blade to you -

Ayup, it's an interesting kit. Comes with a partial interior, but has toylike molding for most of the outside bits. Still, though, it solves part of the itch to build. Now if I just liked to paint them.
