hi all

ok this started life as a AA Dozer kit, but i replaced the track guards with brass ones that i built, brass added to bins also etch brass, rear dust deflector made from etch and brass rod.
turret had to be changed from another kit, commanders hatch replaced because of hatch shape being oval, decided then to use some parts off the AFV kit, gun barrel and a few other bits, flui track plus lots more etch and brass and copper.
the kit looks like there are a few things wrong but are for a reason ie, road wheel high , to go over a tree stump, bent handels etc everything even turret id numbers are correct for this tank even the lack of stowage for this actual scene taken from a photograph.
i want to thank a few people especally , col filtness, shane lovell , for all there support over the last few years in helping me and tim vibert who had the vehicle untill recently.

now comes the paint job.

Hi Ossie,

Let me be the first to congratulate you. Looks like you have put a considerable amount of time and effort in reproducing this particular vehicle.

Looks geart at the moment and I'm sure will be just excellent when you have her painted and set into your setting.

Thanks for sharing, hopefully we will be seeing a lot of this famous old war horse over the coming months.

Thanks for sharing.

Cheers

Great looking dozer. Lots of great details. Looking forward to a paintjob with an equal amount of details.

hi all

i have tried to capture the red dust of vietnam , yet to paint the details or markings yet or fit tracks, so i really wanyt to know weather i have captured the right dirt colour.
i intend to dust it all over lightly with light grey pastels before mounting it on the base.
let me know what u think ossie

Great job Ossie, also great to see it finished. As I nkow how you spent so much time on detail I know you would appreciate two items being pointed out. No radio in the ammo rack behind the cupola, and the weld on the bottom of the up armoured Glacis plate, they really did a beautiful puddle weld on them but top marks I only wish I could do as well Regards Col

wow, this is awesome! The turret looks very busy with detail. Im sure it was a hair raising project at times. With detail projects like this , I sometimes hate to paint it and cover up all that metal, dont you? Looks excellent. Hope you enter this in the contest.
