Hi,
I would like to built a humvee similar to the one below. Does anyone has more details on this vehicle? I'm thinking of using the humvee 1046 from Tamiya as a base. Other ideas or input to built a similar vehicle will be appreciated.
Thanks. Carl

This Danish vehicle came up in a previous post. It should help you out.

You seem to be on the right track. Tamiya's M1046 will definitely get you started and included the winch on the front. Of course since it is a TOW vehicle the ammo racks in the back, will be for TOW Missiles. Tamiya's earlier M1025 will give you ammo racks for the back, though I'm not sure if the Danish vehicles have the racks in the back or not. If you aren't aware, the two Tamiya kits share about 90% common parts so you are essentially buying the same kit, just meant for different parts. Also, Pro Art's Dumvee conversion might push you a little closer to a Danish Humvee.

According to the winch I would prefer the part from academy´s "I.E.D. guntruck".. `cause the vehiecle on the picture above has the new USMC style winch attached while the tamiya M1064 kit has got the common winch included...
And I would take tamiya´s m1025 kit, if you don´t plan you don´t use the doors anyway, and it has got a quite accurate M2 machine gun included
