Greetings All:
I am new to this site but have built several 1/16 scale models over the past few years.
I just purchased the WSN T34-85 and the SU-100 conversion kit from Backyard Armour. I am looking for advice, tweeks, problem areas, etc for building this combo.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi Craig
I have done the SU85 conversion, the reason I chose it was because there isn't an SU100 barrel available. I do believe however there were some SU100's with the 85 guns fitted, so if you keep the stock barrel (if you cant make your own 100) then its still represents a real tank.
Given the 85 and 100 kits are fairly similar otherwise, and the instructions in german dont tell you a lot,I'll offer you these tips.

Remove the MG housing from the hull, the empty slots left are where you fit the metal bracket that holds the gun/recoil unit.
Forget any traverse or elevation functions unless you are a genius!
Remove the drivers hatch/hinge without damaging it as you need to re-use it. Cut the wires to the headlight and remove it for reattachment later.

Swap the left/right motor leads over to make it easier to drive,

Take your time fitting the superstructure together its not as straightforward as it looks, mine can be removed by sliding the whole thing forward over the gun/mount.
Hope that helps you some!

Neville:
Thanks for the quick response and all of the advice.
I had a chance to tinker with the tank last night and it does look pretty straight forward. I am not too concerned about saving any of the electronics or keeping it R/C, but if it works out where I can at least keep some movement to the tank, all the better.
Can't wait to really get into this project.
Thanks again.
Craig
