I still have a bit of weathering to do on it (drybrushing, pastels, etc) but it's coming out fairly well I guess. Not a bad kit but photoetch would have improved some areas.

Yes, but I believe the various external items are steel. I put a few random chips on that are an oxidized looking gray but did some washes and such in areas that would have steel parts attached. Probably a little overdone though. I'm hoping to tone that down when I do my drybrushing.

I was living near Little Creek in VA for awhile, the maintainece is rather well kept, even on deployments. I sound like a rivet counter!!!!!! geez, i think the rust will tone down with drybrushing it looks good stug

Very nice! It looks like it will turn out very nice. The only problem I have with this kit is the sprokets. Not your fault but the closest representation of these is the Dragon MRLS and who wants to cannabalize a whole kit just for sprockets? I have one sproket from a destroyed MRLS and will attempt to cast a set or two in resin.all said and done,Steve is jelous that his ship doesn't have tracks and the fire control on his ship consists of putting fires out! HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE!!!!!!!!!! I say two thumbs up and an oink to the oinky.......oink-ity to the pig sty!

Yes, I visited the factory. They are constructed out of sheets of aluminum.

I didn't want to "pile on" about the rusting, soo....

I really like the choice of paint scheme Mark - I was going to do my Pig-7 that way too. Looks like it'll turn out nice in the end...
