I wish to do a M35A2 truck with NATO camouflage. But how do you get a specific exact pattern, and how do they do it in real life?

IIRC thee HMMWV's are painted by a series or Robotic arms......... other (newer) vehicles might be as well............... I doubt the older ones were... Not sure if Depot level rebulds would be either....

A while back I saw some aftermarket decals for an aircraft that said they used to have large rubber masks that they would throw over the planes when they painted them. This was a WWII aircraft. Don't know if the same technique was used for armor.
