Three new photo's of the AS 90 I am building, Im starting to get a bit happier with the build now, I got a bit fed up with it what with having parts missing and the poor fit.
Thanks for looking

Hi Vinnie,
It's 1/35th scale, made by Hobbycraft (its a Trumpeter re box really), the barrel is 7.5 inches long !!!. Im liking the colour as well, Humbrol 63 Sand. Will see how it looks when its complete.

Looks pretty good.
Just a note on the barrel length. If you are building it as a British gun, the longer, 52 caliber, barrel is incorrect. The British Army uses the standard 39 caliber barrel, which is still too long on the kit. The longer-barreled, 52 caliber "Braveheart" is an export only version and I don't believe anyone has bought it. Here is a great build review from PMMS that talks about the barrel length as well.
Good luck.

Hi,
http://www.army-technology.com/projects/as90/
Check out this website above it says that 96 British Army AS 90's are being upgraded to braveheart standard by BAE and various other manufacturers, hence why I have added the 52 caliber gun !!

Also says that the upgrade program was halted. Lats I heard, it was not going to happen.
Furthermore, the kit barrel is still too long for the 52 caliber version as well.

The upgraded AS90s were expected to enter service in 2003, but the programme has been halted while a system study is conducted.
