I am getting ready to tackle the ICM T-35 kit. Going to us some JR barrels and a PE set on it. Anyone built one before. How bad is it? I would like to detial the interior a little. Does any one have pics of the hatches or the inside? Thanks.

I built it for the "big and beefy" campain, but lost out time wise due to track bulding and weathering time{add life's goings on time as well}. Expect the upper hull to be warped, "alot" of track build, alot of cussing when ya knock off three machine guns after you handle the turrets too much{hopefully it won't happen to you}, an easier time from using machined barrels{I stongly recomend them-thanks alan!}, some ejector pin marks to be filled, one mis formed boggie wheel and arm{hopefully not in your case}, and hand tools from another kit of better grade. I'd scrap box the motor and tranny since you won't be able to see them{your call} and your really going to be able to see just alittle inside the drivers area alittle with a figure there{turret too} but both have some "decent" detail OOB. You'll have to open the turret holes here and there to get the turrets to turn well after the build and shave the bottoms of those turrets as well for the same purpose...if mine were any tighter I'd be afraid to snap the turrets trying to turn them in to install them{read tight fit!}. AlanL built one as well..hopefully he'll chime in for some insite.
A really neat piece after it's all said and done...how many five turret tanks do ya see now-a-days anyway. She's worth the time it takes...

hello,
we've built ICM's T-28 and thier IT-28,they where okay,,but needed to be soaked in the kitchen sink for quite some time in order to remove the HEAVY oily (sticky) film, individual tracks are nice ,but take quite awhile to assemble. We've got the T-35,took one look at it and put it back in the box.Hull pieces---WARPED beyond all warped, bent like a horseshoe, and a corkscrew twist !!! even the IT-28 had some warp issue, but minor.but the T-35,OMG!!and i wasnt in the mood to try and straighten them out at the time, where thinking it'll make a good winter project when the snow flies and temps hit below zero, will build it thou,it's to interesting of a subject.

Go to this site. This T-35 Dio has been on the cover of Boresite, and has won best Dio at this years Noreast Con. It is really impressive up close but the photos show a shot of the rear engine hatch. Good Luck. JDM
