Any idea about this little green box seen near the loader position of a OIF USMC Abrams ? At first, I believed it was a LS-454 loudspeaker seen from behind, but the ON/OFF switch and the socket with "loudspeaker" written just above (as if it was an output to a loudspeaker) puzzle me... Is it a Crewmember Control Box (similar to the C-2289 )

Any info (and a front view as well) would be welcome

TIA

Its a speaker for the radios. It should have a circular grill on the opposite side of it in the picture. Sorry but I dont have a picture of it.

Hi John and welcome to Armorama !

Here's the LS-454 I was talking about :

No switch, no socket, contrary to the first picture

Any other idea about the loudspeaker model (if it is indeed a loudspeaker) ?

Same thing, a loudspeaker, just a newer type with the ability to shut off the sound and updated connectors.

Thanks Rob (once again ) A loudspeaker was the logical answer but I just wanted to be sure...
