Scott,
I just went to my LHS (KING'S HOBBY in Austin) and they told me September. So being that I helpd with about .9% of the project, if this is correct, I should be hearing something back from Pawel or maybe even Dragon themselves.

Dragon's website says August, so allowing for transport on a slow boat from China, I'd expect in in September.

I've come to the conclusion that I'm a bad luck charm for this model.
given the fact that I had been hoping to see this kit before I deloyed, I figure that the kit won't show til I after I land in Iraq.
I deploy August 8th, you'll see it after then :-)

It'll probably come out after you redeploy back here to the states.
I mean I've worked on 80+ lot subdivisions from initial boundary survey to final as builts and setting of property corners that hasn't taken this long.

Yeah and last month it said July, the month before that it said June.
I'd say it will be out after Matt comes back from Iraq

It wouldn't matter, you'll still be back before it ever gets released.

Gentleman,
It's really coming this time. I expect to get a sample of final boxed kit before the end of the week and I also expect reviewers should be getting their samples very soon. It will of course take some more time before it hits the shelves in your LHS.

'Bout damn time it showed up. Well, at Vinnie's house anyway.
This means that it will be here in the Atlanta area in about 2 weeks or so. Hopefully the plastic will live up to the hype of the CAD drawings.
And I do hope that it has lots of track links and itty-bitty pieces to lose in the carpet! :-)
If this were a 'Smart Kit' it would probably tell you to wait for the next release cycle because it will have the engine/transmission pack added to the kit for all of those loose door parts.

Ok guys, before it starts again with "where is the kit?", my LHS did say it would be here in September. And with PMing with Pawel, the kits that Vinnie and Pawel have are just the beginning and it will be a slow production run.
Pawel and Vinnie can explain better how these first kits get out and to who they go to. I'm just happy it's just right around the corner.
To answer your question Clark, you will be able to pre-order/order the kit from any good hobby shop or online store.

Great Models, Squadron, Sprue Brothers and most other on-line suppliers have them still as pre-order items. Probably won't hit the shelves for a little while still. Be patient.
Pete beat me to it again.

Can't promise that. DML will decide when they will send these samples...

Arghhh!!! Even I don't have it in the boxed version yet!!! But only because packages from HK arrive to UK faster than to Poland. So far only three samples of the kit have been sent out - one to Vinnie, one to me and one to another advisor on this project, Ralph Zwilling. Other reviewers will get them next week.

Normally I would be glad to review it, but obviously in this case I can't :-)

I can guarantee that!
By the way, folks: if you REALLY want to get one of these kits ASAP, I suggest you visit DML booth at IPMS Nats
