I just received the M-3 and was wondering if it came with English instructions or just Japanese? Because mine only has the Japanese version.

If it's Tamiya, they generally include both Japanese and English instructions.

That's what I'm used to, but not with this one.

Hmmm. Then I can only attribute it to assembly line failure. Unfortunately I just sent out my only copies of the Tamiya M3 Lee models just recently. Maybe the people I sent them to can fax you a copy of the English instruction translations... :-)

Funny thing BC, because the last M3 that I bought had NO instructions at all.
Thank goodness I'm like a pack-rat, because I had the old set from the previous build which had both the English and Japanese.
Makes ya go "hmmm".

I think it occurs cos, when it is packed in Tamiya-USA it comes with a japanese+english versions instructions sheet, but if it comes directly from Tamiya-Japan, it comes only with the japanese version. What do you think?

Actually, I've had a couple of Tamiya kits - generally the less expensive ones - that came with Japanese instructions only. I seem to recall their $20 Panther and one other like this.

I just remember buying Tamiya kits when I was stationed in Germany. They (the store)would open the kit, and mark over any SS markings or swastikas on the instruction sheets, decals and box art with a black dab of paint or marker.

Rob--the M-3 Lee/Grant is one of the true armor classics. I can hardly wait to get started on the latest one I bought. I am in the final stages of completing the M-8 with VLS interior. Pity to have to cover the intricate details up. The AFV track is marvelous and if you have not tried a set may I highly recommend it to you and others. It is tedious to construct, but the results are well worth the effort. I am going to "borrow" the company digital camera and take a few shots of her when I complete it.
