Steffen, although the tiger I should have 96 links either side, in practice, since slight scale differences can occur, you might have to add one or two or remove them to achieve the correct sag. I'd build them to look correct, and don't worry too much over how many there should be.

Many thanks Vinnie!!

I wanted to know how much I have to click before test fitting ... will do about 93 and then check the sag of the track .... when I'm on such a monotonous work I easily loose "track" ...

An an explanation .. I am doing armor as a diversification, so my knowledge and library on that subject is very small (I've a pic of my shelf on a/c in my profile so you can see I already buy many books ... on WW2 aircraft) ... well I have plans to buy some armor books too ... the 3 "Tiger in combat" are my first "goal"

best wishes

I looked at my DML Tiger IE and it says 96 on the left side and 95 on the right. The difference may be due to the wheel distances. Kind of odd, but it goes to show that looks are more important than accuracy.

The number of track links in modelling seems to be a common problem.
More by accident I found a useful page with technical data including tracks on most german WW2 AFV.

Maybe this is helpful: Link
