Does anyone know of a supplier for aftermarket tracks for the Tamiya Universal Carrier kits?

Hi Tom,

Here's a link to a post that was recently running on Modelgeek on the same subject.

See the post about Kasten Tracks if you want to work in plastic not resin.

Cheers

Greetings all,

Re the Model Kasten tracks. They look pretty good and come with replacement drive sprockets. Eetu has posted a picture of his carrier on the link above.

I check Hannants for them, but can't see them listed. However, Kasten sets seem to range from 18 to 24 pounds which is very expensive. Does anyone know of a source for these tracks that offer them a a realistic price?

With 4 of these little beasties to re-track I may just have to live with the Tamiya stuff at thoses prices.

Cheers

Al, I think Mission Models here in the US carries the NON WORKABLE Universal track for 19.99 USD. They include the sprockets ( I Think?)

I think they are out now. KSK-16 It looks as MK will do more of this.....
hmmmmmm great alternative!

Hi Chris,

Thanks for that link. The price is restrictive, so I'll wait awhile and see what the going rate for the Accurate Armour ones are first before I decide.

Even at $19 each x 4 that's 4 more carriers and 12 more figures!!!!! :-) :-) :-) I have a feeling I may just have to live with what I've got.

Cheers

Al
