Yes, there are two.
AEF Designs and MR Modellbau.
I have the AEF version but it's driving me crazy and made me put the kit back in it's box.
The MR offering is supposed to be better.
Now I don´t know if there is any differences between the M88 and the M88A1 interiors but I'm sure someone else can fill in with that info.

I just got MR set... it looks great with lots of resin parts. It is supposed to be for M88A1, and the box states it can not be used for early M88 (Nam version).

I have both sets. while each gives you the basics they also give different minor parts. The Mr kit comes with a little better instruction set but thats about all the difference between them. Btw 70 seems to be alot for the MR kit.

Check out the Ampersand book that specifically looks at recovery and engineering models and conversions,,,something like "Movers, Shakers, etc etc". The later copies of Military Miniatures in Review have ads usually in the back page for copies. I feel a little ashamed, as I own a copy, buy can't recall the exact name. It's a great book, and both the VietNam M88 and a later M88A1 are built. The M88A1 is built with the MR interior, and the article is a great guide to using the conversion to reach a highly detailed model of the M88A1.
Sadly, the book didn't cover the M728 Combat Engineer Vehicle, and I am STILL trying to fond time to finish the AEF turret conversion that changes the Academy M60A1 with M9 blade, to the M728. Time is always the enemy, right?
By the by, I have built the AFV M88A1, and used the separate tracks also from AFV. Excellant tracks, and a beautiful kit. Just take your time and follow the rigging directions.
I might also recommend Sabot's motor pool gallery for reference shots of an M88.
