For the LAVs, it's standard aluminum diamond-pattern plate.

Hello, Thank You for answering My post and for Your help. Question, what size pattern of Diamond tread plates for the U.S LAV's and M-936A2 Wrecker Beds? Amber has 4 different sizes of diamond tread plates in photo-etched sheets in 1/35 scale. What size do I use for the LAV's and what size do I use for the M-936A2 Wrecker bed? Thank You,
Neil Osborn

I wish I could help you, but I haven't used that manufacturer's PE... The ones in the Eduard photoetch set (for the Italieri LAV) are the right size pattern.
In real life, the tread size on the pattern is the same you see on truck-bed tool boxes, and for deck plates on nuclear submarines. I'm sure it's lots more places, too, those are the first two that spring to mind lol.
