Not long ago, a story showed up on Nightline regarding the contamination of vermiculite mined in Libby, Montana with asbestos. The story said that a lot of people there were having lung problems, not just workers in the mine.

The two questions pertinent to modelers are: is Permascene made with Vermiculite? A few posts on other forums say that it is just vermiculite and white glue, but is that a fact or an assumption?

The second question is: was Permascene made with Libby vermiculite, if indeed it does contain vermiculite?

Does anyone have a scoop on this or any knowledge of how to get in contact with PermaCraft, the company that made Permascene?

Thanks in advance,
Old Modeler

Check the link. Does not sound like it should be a issue with the permascene.
