Marco,
Have been re-searching this for 8months---no drawings are handily available due to M1 "being in service"---this from US Army PR sources--(direct contact)--you will have to scale (as I am at the moment )from pictures.
I have had the "Prime Portal " pics for a few months now having recieved them from Brent Sauer direct ...pre PP.............still calculating sizes .......lot of front ...behind blade is a nightmare --awaiting more pics to tidy up my scribbles .
The pics do not show all the anti -mine kit and there are a few "grey " areas that have to be clarified on top
You probably got what I have by now ---so best of luck ---be good that a least 2 of us are scratching it

I hope that can help. Last March, while performing duty at Ft Leonard Wood, MO, I helped another member with detailed photos of the Grizzly that is displayed at the outdoor museum at the Engineer School. This included detailed photos of the front hull plate where the "bundle o' snake" hydraulics live, plus the telescoping arm, bucker, hull top, side, rear, TV camera mounts, etc.

As I was taking these to assist the other member, when I had the images placed on a CD, I did not make a copy. As it happens, I just now mailed the CD to him in the Netherlands, of course, just before this request appeared in Forums!

The member call sign is "MMB", Marc. send him a request for a copy of the CD, or maybe he can post the CD images for easier access by other members.

HTH!

Marco,

M1 Abrams MBT plans appeared in the Saumur Bulletin No.13, Finescale Modeller Nov/Dec 1984 and a Czech Atom Mag

M1A1 drawings appeared in the Japanese Panzer Mag dated 10/1987 (No.161) & Tank Mag dated 7/1991

Plans may also be found in Tanks of the World Edition 7 (1990 issue)

Lots of funny bits attached to it --"bucket and spade" comes to mind :-) :-)

Marco,

Go ahead, rub it in! I recieved a post this morning from MMB, saying he has already been contacted by several persons regarding images of the Grizzly. He is attempting to have them posted to Prime Portal, so they all may be available to the members soon!

And si, I will keep a copy in the future! Ciao!

Hi guys, isn't the grizzly a beast....No pun intended.

As you know, I took the pictures posted under my name on Prime Portal of the Grizzly example previously mentioned being on display at Ft. Leonard Wood.

If you need additional pictures, send me list. I get to Ft. Wood about once every couple of months so the turn around won't be too speedy. I will be happy to help as much as possible.

I seem to recall a build of the Grizzly in the old Military Modelers magazine. It was a scratch built model based on the Tamiya kit, and it looked pretty good. I will search the boxes of model mags and see if I can come up with more. At one time there was a web site that had pics an video of the Grizzly. Always wanted to add this to the collection, just another one of those projects that never got off the ground.
