I finished my first armor. It was a really nice experience and I alreday have another model in the assembly line (DML's King Tiger). I went a bit overboard with the paint chipping on this one I think and the rust is too orange in some parts, but I like the outcome and I got to learn tons of new techniques. Comments and suggestions welcome and appreciated!
TIA,
F

I think you did a great job there. Yeah you probably did overdue the chipping a bit but it still looks great.
Besides you seem happy with it and enjoyed yourself building it so thats all that counts.
They are nice kits. I built the ausf H version last year and it built up real nice. I have the ausf J in my stash but havn't touched it as I have gotten away from 72nd scale stuff for a while.

Looks good, I tend to use a dark earth color for my rust. It is not as stark as rust paint. There are a lot of large chipped areas, but overall I think it is a nice build.

Thanks Jeff and Robin. I hope to keep improving my skills with every model, this was 100% learning.
IŽll keep in mind your tip for the rust Robin, thanks.

Nice
It makes me want to take mine out of the stash and build it. Did you spray or brush paint it and what paints did you use?
