Hi Ian
I recently joined the forum and must compliment you on your diorama. The figure animation and groundwork is excellent. I think this will be quite a beauty once complete. Well done, looks quite superb!
Cheers
Garth

Dear Ian
I do love your Dio i have some questions to you?
1-Can you tell me how you did to reproduce the small roots and the groundwork ??
2- After looking carefully to the angle of the hill and the weight of the halftracks, it should leave an enormous trench behind him and the ground it is really to clean ???
Do you have any comment on that ????
Cheers

Thanks guys, Sebastian, the roots are are accomplished by simply mixing in little roots dug up from the garden into the dirt that i sprinkle ontop of my wall filler (while still wet). You can have them partially hidden under the dirt to look like theyre growing out or you can have them laying ontop to look like fallen branches.
The reason i didnt make a big trench is because forest floors are typically muddy, usually they have a pretty firm footing with all the plants growing. Im not done with the groundwork either so stay posted.

Sure Ian
I do agree with the softness of these types of groundworks but there are no tracks marks at all ???
For me it is a little unreal but it is my opinion and i dont claim it is the true
Thanks for the answer
Cheers :-) :-) :-)

haha dont worry man lol. Im just saying that there probably will be some kind of grass there so there would be no point in making track indentations...

You know I would love to do that but unfortunatly the gear that the germans are wearing would not match to the climate. Also I plan on placing this in October 1944 in the outskirts of Warsaw.
