Hey all just a couple more pics before I hit the hay...
Had the day off because of illness, and got some fiddly bits finished...

Nice work Bradley! I like the texture on the turret, MR Surfacer 500??
Where will you set this M4? Normandy or later?

Good to see you have your proirities in the right place

Hehe thanks Dave...
Not all done today, but the periscope and brush guards were...
~Chris, yep, Mr S500!
The M4 is intended to be from the 70TB "Soixante Dix", and possibly around St.Lo at the breakout of Operation Cobra...
Still trying to dig up some decent reference from the 'net... Have the odd pic or two of 70TB M4s, but nothing that is of top quality...
Would you know of any good reference pictures?
Cheers

Gee! Brad. Don't do too good a job or you'll make the one I'm about to build look bad.

Brad,
Will it be a replacement, or an original? I am guessing replacement --

Archer transfers makes a 70th Tank set (I think?? or it maybe Eschelon)
They had a specific unit marking, right? A turtle with a helmet on?

Sounds like a winner - I'll look forward to seeing it finished.

Oh, one thing and its a small one - you could add the "pins" to the ends of the cupola hatches - just kidding, nice work!

Nup, it's one that came ashore... Possibly 'Columbia Lou' .
Was later use as a test tank for the attachment of Sommerfield matting...

Close! It is a set by Bison decals, and I'm staring at them at the moment... And the turtle is named Joe Peckerwood, and was adopted as a mascot on ALL 70TB vehicles when in England...

Try me! Which pins do you refer to?

Mate, this is my umpteenth Tamiya M4, so it is more of just a gradual detailing process...
If you need any help gimme a yell

Here's a pic of the close to complete M4... I have crafted some fenders out of brass sheet, using the template left on the fret from when I fouled up the original Aber pair... (Very handy, even when some parts have gone)

Do they look convincing?
Cheers
