Hi,
wondering if anyone has any shots of this helmet? I'm trying to get info on the bar mike and electrical connections to the back side of the mike housing.
Any info would be helpful, tried "Googling" but no joy..
Thanks in advance

Items like this often turn up on ebay.com - they have a large amount of Vietam era militaria in their, er, VietNam Militaria listing.

I just looked there but there's nothing from that era matching your needs, but there could be Real Soon Now - just have to check it regularly...

Once you've found the right thing, it's easy to 'save' the images - for your own personal use of course...

Peter
Are you going to the Alberta AFV modeler show in Sept.? If so I can bring my 60's era tank helmet with to the show so you can look it over. I'm refurbing one out of 2 old helmets at the moment. yeah can be a little difficult to find. The one found in the earlier text is actually from the 70's onward.

If pictures don't work, you might try an Army Surplus store, old style vietnam era tank helmets are usually one of the items they have for sale. Might be able to snap a few photos of what you are looking for free.

Good luck.

Sorry Joe, the photos you posted are for the CVC helmet that came into service in 1974, replacing the one-piece helmet of the Vietnam era. The earlier helmet had the ear speakers mounted inside the shell, and were not visible from the outside as the ones in the phots are. We were very pleased to get the newer-style helmets, as the older ones were limited in their "comfort" levels!

By the way, Hornet makes a very good copy of the VN-era CVC helmet, in addition to the newest, current model. See their website for comparison photos.
