I am getting to the end of my build of the Dragon Flak36/37. Can anybody point me in the direction of some pictures of the Wicker Ammunition Containers?
My main question is were they left in the Natural colour or were they painted?
I have been searching the web and found 1 picture from WW1, but would be grateful for a pointer for those used in WW2.
Many thanks,
John

Ola John
I can't say much about the Flak36/37 Wicker ammo containers but I know a bit more about the Ammo containers or the 17cm K 18 Mrs Laf MATTERHORN. As far as I know the wickerwork was just the natural color. The grenades itself came in a cylindrical sort of wickerbasket which were the normal color some with a dark band around it. USually they had wicker mats laying around too. To put the grenades and such on. Also these were normal natural color of wicker.
I hope this is of some use for you.

Thanks Robert,
Thats all I needed to know and expect that the 88mm would be treated the same.

John

Very nice site/reference for the different containers for rounds of all types. Some of my assumptions all along turn to have been wrong. :-)
