Dear All
Between two baby bottles , here are some progress pictures of my detroyed AAVP.
i did cast the wheels from the tamiya one but without the rubber band.
Well i need some advices from you guys i found only 5 photos of a detroyed AAVP in the web
the hull seems to vanish rapidly when it is burned so i suppose the hull is in aluminiun and will turn grey. Am I right ?
Now concerning the inside, I need to put more wreckage any suggestions now it is really empty.
Comments very very welcome
:-) :-)
Sorry the pictures looks very dark

Looks like it is coming along nicely. Yes, teh hull is an alluminum alloy armor. The interior would have all the molten/melted/burned up parts from above and inside piled upon the floor. A mass of ash and a few identifiable pieces of metal will look great.
Keep us posted.

Here is what an M2A2 Bradley looks like when destroyed. It is made of the same alluminum-alloy armor.

Nice progress shots Sebastian. What did you use to create the damage?

Jazza
From bottom to top
The wheels: I used 3 different wheels from Tamiya i did remove the rubber band using a small dremel where i put the wheel low speed to remove the rubber. Cast from resin
Lower hull, I remove plastics chips using twisers and i carefully creating small cracks (Aluminum alloy cracks when it is heated up.)
Upper hull, just saw the piece that i dont want
Cheers

That looks very good indeed. A tough subject to model but you have done a good job on the damage. For the interior just remember that things such as seat cushions, rubber wire covering etc will all melt leaving the twisted bare metal, the seats for example would just be twisted and broken surrounded with ash piles. I would add some fine powder to simulate ash but build up some basic interior items to show underneath the ash.
