this is the old 234/4 italeri kit built oob except for the tarps which were scratch built and the camo netting, it was painted with mm acrylics and weathered with oils in the manner of a little chipping and lots of washes, it may be an old kit but i like the way it turned out and it was fun to do, all comments are welcome and thanks for looking.

Very nice indeed!

The spare tire has a real sense of weight about it.

P.S Just one thing the white knobs on the width bar thingys are very white when the rest of the vehicle is quite weathered - a few scratchs and a wash would make them fit in more.
Cheers

Nice work on the Italeri Ron, particularly the tarp on the fighting compartment, that's a nice touch to dress up the ol' gal.

Definately one I'd consider voting for. It takes real skill to take an old kit like this and make it look so good. The weathering is consistent, and realistic too. No big gobs of metal rusted away for example, whilst the rest is pristine. Excellent job.

Hi Ron! Nice job on the old girl! As Vinnie said takes skill to get these older kits up to snuff! Do you have any progress pics, I would love to see em.

One thing to note is that the wire cutter handles are bakelite, thus a redish hue, not wood. There are some examples of wooden handled ones in museums, but these are incorrectly restored items.

Good luck!

Didn't think I would be seeing any shots of the Italeri kits now that Dragon has produced these!

Excellent work on this kit!! The tarp looks great and covers up that "sparse" interior that is included with the kit. I agree about the spare as well. Looks nice and heavy with that chain being strained.

Ron, a very very sweet build you have here. Aside from the nit pics earlier the only thing that bothers me about it is the uniform color of the tires. I think you should have at least a hint of rubber color somewhere on them. I think the uniform color the tires have now detracts from a very visually stunning model. Just my two cents, better than I can do cheers Kevin
