I picked up some old model kits from an estate auction. There are no dates on these kits as most are old Japanese companies. They are all military armor kits in 1/35 scale. Some of the companies are ESCI, Kitto Kagaruku, Max, and some old Italeri kits in white boxes. Can anyone give me a clue to the age of these kits and whether they may be collectors items are not. Alot of the ESCI kits are unopened. They are all of German WWII subjects. I have a couple Revell kits that came with them and the dates on those are from the late 60's. I just don't want to build something that collectors would be interested in. I would trade them off for something I want first. I can't find anything on the internet about them.

Thanks, Jeff

The Esci kits would date from the late 70s to 80s, same with the Italeri kits. Most have been reissued several times so unless the box is really mint and the kit was rare to begin with, they would be worth what the recent releases are going for. The old Max (if they are Peerless Max) kits are also reissued by Italeri. These date from the late 60s and mid 70s. Many are still being issued as "new" kits like the M3A1 White Scout Car, and the whole Dodge WC series. Some of the old Revell kits of the 60s have been reissued recently too (within the last 5 years or so). I believe that the older Revell "S" series kits are worth a bit more.
