Hello
I am looking for some nice individual (or pairs) of German WW2 tankers, around 1942/43 to man an initial tiger (eastern front). I have looked around and can only seem to find SS tankers or late war camo uniforms. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks
Ian

There are a few nice Heer tankers made by Takahishi. You can check them out on Hobbylink Japan

Summer or winter? Wehrmacht or SS? Any particular pose in mind?

Thanks for the replies, sorry I did mean to say, Heer not SS. Thats the problem, most seem to be SS or later camo uniformed. Tthe Tank panzer crew seem to be SS to me, judging by the jackets, maybe i'm wrong.
I am not fussed about summer/winter clothing, and ideally want a commander/driver and possibly loader figure.

I don't think the Tank models are SS since they have seperate crews for the same periode named SS panzer crew.
Could be wrong though.

The two-piece cammo uniforms were usually identical in cut to the black wool versions, so don't let that deter you from choosing an otherwise well-sculpted figure. SS tankers would have the eagle insignia on the left shoulder ranther than on the right breast. Army Panzer crewmman wore the death's head collar insignia, a tradition of the 19th century Death's Head Hussars cavalry formation. It was later taken up by the SS as well, and can be a source of confusion.

I thought the only SS panzer crew who wore the death's head collar insignia were members of the 3rd SS "Totenkopf Division?
A lot of panzercrews removed their insignia in late 1945 because to the Russian army anyone wearing it was classed as SS sometimes with dire consequences

Ok, I thought Heer and SS jackets were slightly different styles. If they are the same and its just the eagle position that differs then I can get some of the other Tank figures as well.
Cheers

The Army version had a seam down the middle of the back while the Waffen-SS style didn't. The Army version had a larger collar and pointed ends on the collar while the Waffen-SS style had a smaller collar and rounded tips. Finally, The Army version had more of a wrap and the front edge cut back diagonally whereas the Waffen-SS style didn't wrap as much and was cut straight down.

Thanks, that was my source as well. Which explains, to some extent, my confusion. Tank sells figures that they say are army (not ss) but they have smooth backs (no crease) and what looks to be rounded collars. Now, i know thats nit picking but it would imply they were wearing SS jackets so i assumed the caption was wrong:
