Ok ok i know this is probably a dumb question but here goes :-)
The instruction sheet for the markings show some vehicles sporting a large unit/ID marking on the rear of the turret , but it is not clear if this is meant to be applied directly onto the rear of the turret , or onto the rear of the turret bustle rack
I want to be 100% sure before I take the plunge.
Any help greatly appreciated
Ian

I am not an expert on Centurions, but since you have not gotten any answers I will try and help you. I would reccomend that you place the decals directly on the turret, and not on the bustle rack.
If anyone disagrees with me, they probably know better. :-)

Hi The plate you enquire about is the Crew Commanders Call sign shown on a post below on 169080 as C/s 33A. The crew commander took the plate with him if he had to change tanks, one I know of had three tanks in one day, through damage, motor failure and mine hit. Regards Col

I've been giving that kit the ol hairy eyeball at the LHS for a couple weeks now. How's it build up? Do you have to fabricate the canvas dust cover on the mantlet.?

Cheers Ian

Kevin;
Voyager Models makes an AM set for this kit and it includes a resin mantlet cover. I've got the set for my Centurion and it's VERY nice. Lots of PE (8 sheets) with the bazooka plates and oodles of small detail (like all the latches for the stowage boxes - made of 4 pieces each and they FUNCTION....), wire for the tow cable and resin/PE combo smoke canister launchers, plus all the grab handles you could want.
It's a very nice set and will add lots of really good detail to an already stellar kit.
