i need assistance by description or a good picture of the aussie mk 5 centurion .303 turret gun mount please. i know it sits upon the hatch coaming some how but where. also advise me please on whether the main hatch actually rotates as different pics show cover opening different ways

And yes, the commander's cupola can traverse.

Don't normally hijack a post, but this has to do with gun mounts on Centurions.....

What about the Canadian Mk.11.....? I uderstand it was a M113 style mount for the commander's .50 cal....any pics?

Hi Bob,

Yup, it was a mount from a M113 attached to the Commander's turret ring.

Here's a link to an ex-Canadian Mk.3 but it has the .50 Cal mount. They are not the greatest photos but you can see how it was mounted. I wish someone would photograph this particular tank in detail.
