Well, after stumbling across this at ebay, I have now joined the ranks of 1:16 scale R/C modelers. Although this might be classed as a 'toy', as it comes fully build and ready to go, I intend to have a go at it to add and improve the detail and paint job. After my two year old daughter and I get tired of playing with it in the local park that is.... :-) :-) .
Performance is quite spectecular, it will climb some serious slopes, and will happily go through rough grass and even soil. Not tried mud yet, as the monster has to come back into the kitchen to be parked up... .
The engine sound is good, when the start button on the controller is pushed, the V12 Maybach can be heard to start, including the starter motor, and the tank won't actualy respond for some seconds whilst the 'engine' settles to 'idle'... Like wise when you switch off again the engine actualy 'dies off', very realisticly.
Usual gun recoil action on the drive, and a realistic sounding MG.
The BB gun I'm not yet decided on, shooting at static targets is not exactly exithing.
I've not yet managed to get the smoke generator to work, I think it may need to be filled with more oil.

Cheers
Henk

I have been thinking about getting that same exact tank but on R/C forums if its not a $800 tamiya one they bash it. For the money it looks like fun, and I can shoot my brother with it when he comes over. :-)

I've got that Tiger which i am going to make more accurate by adding some Verlinden bits and pieces to it just to enhance it a bit. Who knows i might even repaint it!

They are just peaved off that I paid £31 pounds for mine...
I very much doubt that they will be having as much fun as I have when I take it to the park with my daughter. She has managed to break a few pieces, but so what? When I stip it down to do it up properly that won't matter. My daughter loves it. She always nags me to open up my display cabinet so that she can have a close look at my 'proper' models (tong in cheek :-) ) and is always dissapointed as she is, obviously, not allowed to touch them. She is learning the diference between tanks and tank destroyers, and knows Panzer IV's and Shermans...

Have fun

And Darren, yes, they do need a proper coat of paint

Cheers

Well I guess I will have to pick one up. I already have about 5 shades of mixed panzer grey from a tiger I just finished anyway. Hate to see it go to waste....
