I had to post this today after I was taking my break and realized that I was putting together link tracks AT WORK. That is how addicted I have become to building. I now have a small set of tools I keep in my desk and I build at work on lunck and breaks! Who needs drugs, I build models!!

hmm, is that all :-)

I am leaving tomorrow on a business trip. I had to finish my M88 today. After I finished I layed out all the resin parts for my next kit on my workbench so I can start right away when I come home from my trip.

And yes, I found a model shop in the city where I am going to and yes I already ordered some stuff from them via e-mail.

I am a basket I think :-) :-) :-)

I wish I had your problem, unfortunately work and family get in the way.

What's a "lunch break"?

At least your building. Think most of us have a buying addiction.

I know that feeling all too well! :-) :-)
I work the midnight shift in a boiler room, and do most of my building at work, (majority of the construction) and finishing at home.

Perfectly put.

I've never had a job where I could even come close to working on a model. Heck, I can't even surf the web at my last job.

YES!!! So I'm not alone after all!! I took the wife and kids and my in-laws down to Destin Florida for nine days in July, and before we left, I googled all the Hobby shops in the area so I'd know where the closest one was, and printed out a map to the closest one. My wife just gave me the stink eye, shook her head and reminded me of what a geek I am. That only works until I point out to her that she knew that when she said she'd marry me.

Unfortunately, when I got there, I found out it had been replaced by an afghan rug outlet a year earlier, but still, whenever I go anywhere, the first place I look for is the nearest hopbbyshop.

Several hotels that I have stayed in recently (and in the past) have had high end hobby shops located in their basements. Good times.

Me the same but different, I'm painting addict... If it goes a week without me painting something I can get weird and depressed and start to look for substitute for paint and paintbrushes every where. It have went so far that I've painted with soil as pigments with a stich chewed and carved as a point in one end as a paintbrush. Doesn't have to be a fig, paper or a piece of wood is almost as good...
