I'm looking at airbrushes and compressors. I've looked throught the site but nothing has answered this. Can you use an old highpowered airpump from an aquarium for an airsource? I have one that i used for my 150 gallon aquarium that is no longer in use. Any help?

You probably could - is it a piston or a diaphram one?? you would get different results with either, also is there a way you can reduce the psi it operates at. and you'll need to sort out an airtight connection to an airbrush hose.
Does it have a cut out if the pressure builds up - if not it really won't be suitable.

No question is too dumb. If your pump can generate 20 psi, you can probably use, not sure how long it will hold out tho.
