I saw a kit on eBay for a Dragon T-34/85 used by the Chinese Volunteer forces during the Korean War. When did they have tanks, and did they actually use them against UN forces?

I don't know when the Chinese got the T 34/85s but they used them in Korea. The M26s and the 76mm shermans didn't have much problems knocking them out.

The PLA undoubtedly had T-34-85s, but the tanks which saw action at the start of the Korean war were those of the North Korean People's Army. The NKPA also used SU-76Ms.
Hard to say for sure, but I don't think PLA tanks saw action, and tank-use by the NKPA declined very quickly - certainly the Centurions of the commonwealth Brigade didn't get a chance to shoot at them.
