As I look through various posts I see the term "pin wash" in regards to a weathering technique. What exactly is this refering to? How is it different from applying a regular wash? What is the technique, desired effect etc.?
Thanks,
Erik

Erik,
A pin wash is a wash that is applied in small amounts directly where you want it, whereas a regular wash is applied over the whole model. Mix a wash like you normally do. Then using a small brush apply the wash around a bolt head, tiedown, etc. I have found that it works best on a gloss surface.
Good luck,
Eric
