I like the toadstools! The edge of the road looks unnaturally tidy though and one minor criticism is the Jerry looking at his boot for no apparent reason. If you had a dog that he was staring at, it would appear that he'd trod in a turd and add a bit of humour to it. I bought a nice begging dog from Historex a couple of years back which would look perfect Apart from that looks bloody good! Well done!

Nicely done Jan! The base is so tidy! Love it!

Dont forget to move the photos to the gallery once you are done. I will review all the submissions from there.

Jan-Willem,

Greetings and I do like the layout and vehicle a lot, but I do wonder if there would be some soot/burnt areas from a strike that is obviously so catastrophic, which would have probably cooked off the ammunition and blown open the hatches, maybe you could add some different tones to the rusted/bare areas. Mixtures of pigments might help turn this into a great model.

I hope you will not see this as undue critism as there is a lot more potential in your build that you could achieve. I am sure that there are probably people here who may have some reference materials, maybe people who have served in the gulf might be able to help.

I hope you are well and the cigar was a real treat......thanks.

Unless the Sherman was standing still the momentum would have pulled the tracks off the wheels.

I also think that a little variation in the height of the grass would help too.

Gday Janwillem
This has turned out really good! MY critiques would be aimed at the base moreso... I reckon the tank on more of an angle to the roadway would appear more dynamic. As it is, it seems it was neatly parked and took fire... (Hey, this may very well have happened! :-) ) As Alan said, if moving, the tank would possibly have shed the track on that side... Also, you would notice that even a little elevation on one side (the opposite side of the hit) can make the base stand out!
I would make the road edge more 'jagged' with grass, as it looks quite manicured...
Love the toadstools; nice touch...
Oh, and that figure is the only German one I own... Easy to build and paint?
Cheers
Brad
