Well me and my mate are going to make either sword beach from the normandy landings or arnhem and i have two questions regarding sword beach.
1.Did they have a mulberry harbour at sword beach.
2.And if they did does anyone know if theres a kit avialable or maybe some plans for it.
Cheers

No Mulberry at Sword. There was (and still is partly) one at Gold, and another at Omaha, but the one at Omaha was destroyed in a storm around June 19th. I don't know of any kit of the Mulberry.
PS. It sounds like a big project. What scale are you going to be working in? Whatever you choose, good luck with it, it sounds like an interesting project.

I couldn't find anything via google that shows Sword had any Mulberry's.
I haven't come across any kits of them either. The actual concrete shape would be easy to scratch build. The bridge to and from be a challenge.

Indeed indeed you are up to a very big project here mate but good luck... I think it is very doable in 1:72 and I would be interested in further progress on this.
A good picture reference site for this is the following
http://www.ceris-normandie.com/archivesnormandie/PhotosHD/
It is an open dir with quite a collection of only 2300+ pictures all with Normandy as a subject. From the beaches to the inland... I'm pretty sureThere are pictures of Sword beach too. But you'll find a wealth of very usefull pictures of how the beaches looked like.
A collection that is almost 5 gyg great... so save space on your system and don't do what i did by viewing and saving the pics one by one to your system (Which I can tell you will cost you almost a week with a fast internet connection) Instead you download this program and download the whole site in a really short time

I hope there is something usefull to find between these Hi Res pictures
