Hello everybody,
Terry burke here, I'm building the AS42 Sahariana, my main problem is that I seen Shots of one in rome, and some in police use after the war.
It's really the post war police one I'd love to build, I was thinking of one in a state of bad repair, probably before its de-comissioning. Idont know of any alterations made to them or what coloour they were. I was thinking of scratching some side storage boxes which I seen on one website but alas dont know enough about the subject.
Thanks for viewing, and thanks in advance to anybody who can help.
Regards,
Terry Burke.

Somewhere I found a site about the Italian forces, I am sure that it was suggested on Armorama by another member who gave a link, which true to form I did not bookmark.........but I do recall from something that I was reading that the Police unit vehicles were painted bright red.
It maybe worth searching some of the older Sahariana threads, there is also Fabio, who has had input into those threads, might be able to give you some ideas.

Hi Terence
The lockers each side are for ammunition, it was a modification made to some of the vehicles produced during the war, the top row of fuel cans were replaced.
I don't have any info on post war colours, sorry mate.

Thanks Dus, I noticed that those ammo lockers seem to be on a vehicle with a different type of gun. Now if we (Thats You and I) are also then some of the vehicles with the Italeri gun also had these fitted. In the kit reference manual the vehicle in Police service also seems to have this feature.
Thank You for your reply,
Regards,
Terry.
P.S. I'm still going to try for a police vehicle
