Hi,

Great looking sherman. I never like to make a criticism cos my models are far from good!! - its just I think you'r snow is 'too' white.

If it's on the top serfaces as freshly falling then that ok, but as depicted round the running gear and tracks it would be quite slushy and more grey and perhaps mixed with a bit of mud.

Overall though, a very impressive build and very good photos as well.

Ahh yes. :-) :-) Too clean snow. I just remember that after uploading the pics to my website :-) :-) Oh well. Too late to rework on them. Thanks anyways. Will carry over what I've learned in this project

Hi Ralph,

Nice build and painting, but I think you left ammo for brownig black by mistake (at least it looks black).

Next time provide few overall pics for better perpective.

Hi Ralph. The Sherman itself, looks good.
The snow Im not too sure about. To have heavy weathered running gear, it really needs to sit on a suitable base, to show why. Without a base it looks like a "fish out of water" ... somethings not right! Id agree with Goose as well about adding in some dirt to the ploughed up snow.
The additions you made are a nice touch, although the packs look like they are laying loose on the back deck. Cheers.!

The tank is a superb build, congratulations.

The show is far too white though. It think it can be salvaged, however. Try some dirty washes (A 50: mix of black and burnt umber oil paints, maybe) to make that snow slushy and muddy looking.

Congratulations though - I'd be proud if it was one of mine!

Hi Ralph,

Thanks for sharing the pictures. Tank looks good and you've added some nice touches.

I'd agree about the snow, too white and needs a bit of dirt around the running grear if it's meant to be moving. If the vehicle is stationary and the amount of snow on the front and wheels would suggest it is then, you need traces of snow on the top hull as well. Yes, the snow would melt through the heat of the vehicle but small areas would still be there. It looks a bit two tone at the moment.

I'm not too sure about the way you have stowed the personal gear. Looks too precisely set if you know what I mean.

Very ncie build though and I'm glad you enjoyed it, but I'd think about the snow and check out some reference pictures for a better idea of how it collects on a vehicle.

Cheers and a grand build.

Hi Frank! Yes, it does seem odd with all that snow.

Seems like it cannot live on it's own.

Thanks anyway for the comments
