Hello there,
I currently have a Badger 150 airbrush which was great until recentlly when it started "spitting" out every liquid/ paint I ran through it. I have taken it appart and cleaned it out, but the problem is still there. I can't even get the paint stream down to a thin line it just is one large stream. I don't know if I am missing a part or I am doing something wrong, has anyone else ran into this problem.
Thanks in advance.

If that is the single action one,it may be the teflon bushing inside. The needle passes through this on the way to the tip.Wat type of paints do you use mostly?
Badger has a good return for repair policy, check with your LHS,about how to get a repair done.

Is the spray pattern variable in width? Can you see the needle move when you pull the trigger back? Does the needle fully seat in the tip when it is forward? What is your air pressure? Greg

make sure the little locking tab for the needle isn't stuck back in the slot under the trigger Paint will come out like its a hose. Ive tabbed it with my finger by accident a few times and almost made a big mistake.

There is a decent spray pattern and the needle does move with the trigger, I think it has to be a part that broke or is missing after cleaning. I have tried all sorts of troubleshooting and nothing seems to work.

If you also use Fine Scale Model forums, go to the paint forum. Mike is a pro and uses Badgers. I bet he could help. Another idea would be to call customer service at Badger and speak to someone in the tech department. Greg

I use Badger 150 too.

Have you check if the nozzle matches with the needle? I have 3 sets of nozzles and needles and they are labeled as L, M and F. It is worth checking if you are using a matching set.

Splitting may be caused by clogging (which is unlikely if you have cleaned it up already) or moisture. Do you have a moisture trap installed?

It sounds like moisture to me as well.
