Greetings all,
An issue popped up in my recent Mk V post regarding the M4A4 Driver/Co Driver hatches that I have to say I hadn't really considered before.
On the top of the hatch is a small raised area which I always thought was meant to represent the top of the periscope, be it all not very well. Does anyone have a photo of how this should actually look if the tanks are being driven buttoned up.
Do I need to do a fix here and if so what's the best option?
Many thanks
Al

Here's another good shot....on the small hatch Shermans w/o direct vision slots, such as your 3 shermans in the other post, there's a periscope just in front of the hatches in a fixed position, which could be opened or closed. Then there's a rotating one on the hatch itself inside that "ring", if you will, which could also be opened or closed. On DML Shermans, all the hull hatches are molded closed. Therefore, if you want to depict one driving around, they have to opened, or the hatch opened with the driver's head poking out (in that case, though, you'd have to add the detail of the periscope on the inside of the hatch).
