As previously posted my Airbrush hates me. Little did i know just how much until yesterday. After a brief moment of joy when i actually got paint to spay(a major achievement that i was ridiculously happy about) i set about cleaning the thing. Normal SOP, break it down spray it with stuff wash it out dry it and put it back together in readyness for the next days fun...So next day with a jaunty smile and a spring in my step i prepare myself for another succesful airbrush session, all is going well until i actually press the trigger, instead of the usual spray i get nothing...except a blast of air into the paint jar, blowing up and through the airhole in the jar all, over me, the airbush and anything within range. Perplexed i try again, same thing. More perplexed i take the thing apart and after about an hour of blankly looking at the instructions it dawns on me, im missing the ptfe bearing and paint tip! My airbrush has taken its own life to spite me. After lulling me into a false sense of security by actually working it then goes and kills itself. [Censored]

Hi Chris
I had the same experience and mines only a single action Sprayworks and probably not a true air brush.
Hang in there get a cleaning routine going. I know its frustrating.
I eventually went back to my LHS and got additional pointers which made all the difference.

Like anything, it takes time and practice. Had a similar instance with my aztek...took it apart, cleaned it like always and put her away. Next day I load it up with paint, fire up the compressor and push the botton...gee, the paint does actually go with what I was wearing...tip was tight{something the azteks need} air pressure was good, but I didn't put the inner washer back in the correct order{took the "whole" thing apart} and the reprocussions were...messy. Live and learn...this is one of the reasons why I spray with water based paint...easy clean up which, sadly, can include clothes too.
Hang in there and keep playing with it, and you'll wind up being able to assemble and put it back together correctly in your sleep...THEN you can worry about getting the correct ratio for paint to thinner to air pressure. Baby steps...unless your covered with paint, then run!
