Hi all, just thought I'd share a pic of one of my models I'm working on, other than the USMC M1A1 I've been going on about. This is a Hobbycraft reboxing of a Trumpeter M1A2 I got a couple years back for my birthday (the only decent Hobbycraft kit I've gotten, actually) which I've recently started doing some touch-up work on. I repositioned the smoke grenade launchers into the correct position and angle, replaced the kit TC's cupola with the one from the Tamiya kit (it's not fixed in place, just sitting loose as I still need to install the lenses of the periscopes once I get some clear red paint), added the warning decal on top of the CITV from the Tamiya kit, and added a resin turret correction piece provided by our own Gary Johnson. I also plan to use the spare plastic card from the Tamiya kit to make a pair of flat-style CIP panels for the front of the turret, and of course add more crew gear.

Edit: fixed the pic so it's not a red X anymore. Had a bad link to it the first time around.

Got a couple more pics, this time with the turret correctio piece blended in and painted over, and added CIP panels (the markings on the edges are hand-painted, by the way), radio antennas, and some crew gear. The TC's cupola is still sitting loose as I haven't added the periscope lenses yet. By the way, should I leave the road wheel in front of the CITV, or would it likely be stowed somewhere else so as not to obstruct its' field of view?

The roadwheel is fine there. Can't really give any other comments due to the poor pics. Can't really see any detail at all in them.

Sorry about that. The result of using a poor-quality digital camera with only a bedside and overhead lamp for lighting.

A quick hint for taking your pics next time, take your shots in the daytime near a window even if its cloudy out you will get more light and it will look more natural.
