Hi guys, after reading Karl's thread over the situation of the Allied figures representation in our hobby i would like to start a thread to help myself and other people out in sourcing the various Allied figures that are out there.
So,post any links here to manufacturers, known, unknown, big or small!(This would also include Resistance fighters BTW)
This could be a great reference guide in the future if enough people participate..maybe some of the Axis boys could help us out too, save us complaining again!
Cheers,Shay

Hi Shey,
These are the manufactures I'm aware off for British 1/35 troops:
Plastic Injection
Dragon 4 sets
Tamiya 1 set
Master Box 1set
ICM for WW1
Resin
Great North Roads
Resicast
Ultracast
Accurate Armiour
Cromwell Models
Warriors
Alpine Minitures
Hornet and Wolf
Verlinden
Legends I think have some
Plus Model
CMK
Nemrod
Pegaso
Dog Tag - White Metal
You can also use the 1/32 Airfix sets although the weapons and kit are much too big and need changed, so some of the 54mm stuff might also be useable as height isn't really a problem.
I'm sure there are others who make one or two resin figures but I can't remember any more at the moment.
Hope this helps a bit.
Cheers
Al

Shay -
Might want to add 'Firestorm' to your list as they make some excellent figures, primarily "Aussies" but British also. Also there is 'Doug's Originals' with a couple British figures. And maybe 'Doug's' animals could be "Allies" also? :-)

Master Box has posted three Allied releases which all seem interesting. Unfortunately they haven't released any photos yet. I wonder if any of the fine Armorama staff might be able to get us some exclusive images ;-)

Do you have a web address or details for Doug's Originals? I can't find anything on the web and I'm wanting some animals!

When you say ally, you mean all allies, Russian included ?
If it's the case, you can add Miniart which has really good Russian troops kit.
Hobby Fan does nice allied figures.
Esci also, but harder to find.
Yank Miniatures has nice US troops.
For the French troops, you have blast model who does some nice early war tankers, and REDUX 1/35 also.

On the specifics, for those doing U.S. Paras, the best, without doubt are Nemrod....

I agree with you Jim, Nemrod have some excellent pairs of paras : bazookas, radio, pathfinders.. If you want the top notch paras, chose the last series of 3 (if you have good painting skill), but if you begin take the oldest pairs, still very good.

They look really cool !!!!
If I'm correct they release also a pair of US DD paras in relaxe poses which seems to be quite good.
Allied stuff exist but you have to be millionar !
Best,
Julien

If you can find them......Tamyia put out the set of 3 Brit tankers and the farmer with cart and wine etc, that came with the Churchill, as a seperate release. Very nice set with all sorts of diorama friendly features, milk cans, clear sprue with wine bottles, goggles and a kerosene lamp, plus the civilian which you can use with all sorts of subjects. Haven't seen them in a while but a very useful set!
