Master Box just posted on their site some exciting new Allied Releases (US Rangers and US Infantry). The poses are Great! http://www.mbltd.info/processing.php
I'm particularly excited about the Infantry who have a wounded GI getting pulled away while two others are giving cover fire. I already am brewing up some diorama ideas.

Gday Matt
Good find!
Although a couple of poses hark back to old Tamiya days, as do you I really like the wounded pairing of GIs... (Something tells me that any Allied release is a good'un;)
From what I've heard around the traps MB produce some good figures, so bring 'em on!
Cheers

WOW!! All 3 of those US figure sets look pretty good. And some interesting poses. Hopefully they sell well and MB continues to put out more!

Hi there
Yup, nice looking kits there. Always nice to see alternatives to the (rather) old allied kits. I've also heard (and seen) that MB are quite good at sculpting so I'll look forward to these.
Cheers

Thansk for the tips and link Matt.
Indeed some interesting scenarios. The hand to hand combat kit sounds very promising. This, as part of a three box set ( with frontline German and Russians) could be leading up to a very interesting diorama possibility!

The Panzer I ambulance looks interesting, has anyone made this? If so, what is it like to build?
Thanks

Hi Chris!
I've been buying Masterbox kit's since I first learned of the company, thanks to the fine reporting skill of Mr. Jim Rae, and honestly, some kits are a challenge at some points throughout the build, but definitely buildable! I love the figure sets, and lately, some very cool stuff has been put out, and there's more on the way. . .
These are not "shake and bake" armour subjects, so if you decide to buy one, expect some fitting and filling. But overall, my opinions haven't been wavered since the beginning, and I know that there will be more unique kits offered to the modeler in the future from MBLtd.
Check out the "Reviews" section of Armorama for more details!
Cheers!

Thanks for this Gunny,
I think I will buy one and try it - have never done filling before, so this should be a good way to improve skills.

Chris, if possible, try and get hold of one of the Panzer 1 kits that are being marketed by DargonUSA. These include a replacement running gear done by DML - you'll have to get it thru an Amercan though, they DON'T ship outside N.America...
To be brutally frank, if you want a Pz 1, go for one of the DML ones, in particular the new 'Ausf A' - here's the recent review of it:

Hi Matt,
Thanks for the head up on that one mate. They seem to be building up quite a nice range of kits all round.
Cheers
Al

Very interesting stuff. Glad to see some nice allied stuff since we started the Axis vs Allied debate in another thread. Hopefully they won't go bust for going against the Axis sells paradigm! I've seen the quality of their figure kits jump up quite a bit with each new release.

I've built and paint their US paras this week end.
Details are subtle, buyb sufficient;
Proportions are very good.
Heads are very good.
There is a very useful bonus with declas for arms insignias, helmet etc..very usefull
I will post pics soon.
Best,
Julien
