Is anyone running this comp? Curry's is running one on sale for over half off.. Im thinking it might be time to trade up from the 2 gallon comp I have rigged for the A/B. Will the Smart jet run any airbrush? Whats the preformance like? Any input would be appreciated..

Dave,
I've been using a Smartjet for a little over 3 years now and I love it. It's easy to use...airpressure is easily adjusted, you can empty the moisture trap quickly, quiet...I can have it running with my wife asleep right down the hall and she won't hear it, and it has been trouble free over the time I've had it. The only thing that might bug some people (I'm not one of them) It has an auto shut off that only works when you are brushing at the highest pressure (about 40 PSI) when you have it set at lower pressures it runs constantly, which for me is about 95% of the time, but again no problems. I use it with my Iwata brushes but it came with adaptors for a couple of others so you should be fine there. (sorry I don't remember which brands, I gave the adaptors away, one was for an Aztec I think) I would say at that discount you can't lose.
Regards,
Mike

I don't use a smartjet but it is a staple cant-loose compressor. I have never heard a bad word about it, and at half price I would jump on it. Air is air however, and as long as its dry and pressure regulated, it doesnt really matter where it comes from. I like tank(hobby)compressors, but if yours a super loud generic tool-type compressor, you may want to upgrade simply for the peace and quiet
