While attempting my first crack at using pigments to weather a Sheridan, the result was that the entire color scheme (all four MERDC colors!) turned much more indistinct than I had planned for. These pigments are essentially locked on the model, after various washes and filters. Am I just out of luck, or do I have to reload the color cup on the airbrush and go at the colors again??

I use pastel chalks and I to had some issues of overdoing one area and I had to repaint and reweather that area. I believe the correct process involves spraying future over the vehicle. Then you apply your washes and filters. Spray a flat clear to seal it all and provide a flat finish. Then you would apply powders. That way you could remove the powders with out damaging the washes. Thanks Greg. I might try applying a very thin light coat of the four colors to reclaim some tone back from the pastels. I'll try your sequence on the next go-round.
