Hi Richard. Firstly IŽd look for decals, as that gives the best result, easily. Then theres masks ... both plastic and ectched ... that can be bought, and use the airbrush with .. or even carefully "dab" on with a soft brush. You could also draw and cut out your own masks. Finally, if theres no other alternative, it could be drawn on free hand.
Ive not attempted this, but IŽd probably try this ....
first get it onto paper, the size you want. Then draw abox around it. Then cut out a hole of similar size on masking tape and place this on the area you want the marking.... this keeps your scale right. Then on the paper version, draw a grid through it. Mark of this same grid on the edges of the hole on the masking tape. Paint each square of the grid. This keeps size, scale and shape pretty accurate. Hopefully this gives you some ideas.

Hi,

In addition to what Frank wrote.....if you do not want to use decals (like me) you need very good stencils, a very good painting hand or a very good friend with a very good painting hand . Seriously if you need a stencil you cold try buying a LionRoar PE Stencil they are good - they have balkencruz and other German markings as well...

Example

Hope this helps....

Cheers
