I hope this hasn't been asked (recently), but I can't seem to find a way to search the forums.

Does anyone have a good list of companies that produce water-slide decals for uniform insignia? I'm aware of Archer, but am not particularly excited about the process necessary to turn them into decals. Who else makes insignia in 1:35 scale?

I'm currently looking for WW2 German rank patches and (most importantly) helmet shields, but will eventually need British & American unit & rank patches.

Thanks!

There is the Quartermaster's depot shop. They produce all sorts of rank badges and AFV marking sets. You can browse their website and see if they have what you need. I have never ordered from them but lots of guys here have. I am sure you can get some opinions from them! Good luck!

Hi Tommy,

Try Finger Print Design, I think they haev some Guards ones and are good for British Decals in General although they have German as well. Reasonable price too.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Tommy, I was apprehensive about Archers being dry transfers but to be honest they are superb. No carrier film and they're easy to use. All you need to apply them direct to the figure is a cocktail stick. There's some pics in the Commonwealth in Normandy thread of some Guards that I've used them on if you're interested. I've used them on some SS POW's as well for the same dio and have been more than impressed with the accuracy and ease of use. Personal opinion anyway.

make decals in 1/35 scale soon. You can see some of the decals I
did on tiger models web site.I did a figure of a new York Fireman in
1/9 scale and did decals for the Scott Air-Pak
Go to tigermodels.com and click on to Bulletin Board and there you

Hi Tommy
Verlinden has made some decal sets as well which I've used with some good success.

Matt

Edit: Karl Do you happen to have a link to where you used the Archer Transfers.....I just bought a set and am curious as to how to use them. Thanks,

I think this may be much more viable:

Matt check your mail. Just PM'd you. Jim, that's a nice set that I wasn't aware of which I may have to pick up for my latest project but there's no collar insignia which is possibly the hardest thing to replicate accurately. That's why I always go for Archers.
