I posted this in the other topic but wanted to start a new thread on this.
I made one (hopefully) final change to this setup. I am rather concerned about the number of users posting images that are REALLY big. Tall images add to the scroll of the forum pages and are one major concern for even offering this feature.
To combat this I set the HEIGHT on the sig_line image to 75 pixels. What this means is that images should really be formatted at 75 pixels in height to look correct. Smaller images will end up looking stretched and large images will just get shrunk down to 75 pixels so it's not really worth making them larger (plus they will appear a bit distorted).
If you have a small object that you want to use and don't want to enlarge it, simply put empty space around the image and that will fill up the 75 pixel requirement. The width doesn't matter. Just don't make them wider than 500 pixels!!
For those who really want their sig_line images to shine I would reccommed trying the transparent background feature available in applications like Photoshop on GIF images.
Cheers,
Jim

OK, so the maximum sig size is now 75 pixels tall by 500 pixels wide. Correct?
Got it! :-) Will re-format some images this afternoon.
Jim, can you say a bit more about the transparent backround feature? My guess is that it would make the sig kind of blend into the forum page.
To those of you who I'm making sigs for: I'm still working on them! PM me for individual status reports.
The latest banner I've made is this one for a different forum... if the backround apperas black, turn up the brightness on your monitor.
